Kris Cruisers operates the newest and most luxurious fleet of fully equipped luxury cruisers on the River Thames with boats sleeping between 2 and 10 people. They are available for hire from as little as a 3 or 4 night short break to one week or more. You can explore the whole 124 mile length of the River Thames from Teddington right up to Lechlade in Gloucestershire. Boating holidays have never been so good.
Whether you have a week, a day or just a few hours, relax, unwind and discover the hidden treasures of the River Thames with Kris Cruisers Boating Holidays.
The pleasures of boating on the Royal River Thames.
Light and shade, sun and shadow, rippling water, a different pace of life - these are the things you will appreciate in a day spent on the River.
The rush of driving along busy roads, of queuing in congested towns will fade into the background as you travel at a gentle pace - your own pace - where the beauty of the surrounding scenery is something you and all in your party can see and enjoy.
A boating holiday with Kris Cruisers really is a holiday with a difference. Starting from our marina base at Datchet you can set off to cruise the River Thames, one of the most beautiful waterways in Europe. Meander up or downstream wherever the mood takes you enjoying the change of pace as you go. Moor up at Windsor, Henley, Oxford and many other wonderful towns and villages along the river. You can even take the family to some famous attractions close to the river such as Legoland and Thorpe Park. Our superb fleet of self-drive motor cruisers are available from as little as a short break to one week or longer.
No previous boating experience is necessary. Each year we have customers that have never taken a boating holiday before, but a modern river cruiser is easy to drive and mastering the controls is quickly learned. Tuition will be given on boat handling and safety by one of our instructors who all hold the RYA Inland Waters Helmsman Certificate.
The perfect holiday for a family or friends.
Downstream will bring you to historic Runnymede with its many associations - Magna Carta, the memorial to President Kennedy and, atop Cooper's Hill, the one to the Commonwealth Airforces. The river winds on past London Stone marking the former limit of jurisdiction of the City of London, down to the busy town of Staines and then on to Laleham where riverside homes and bungalows front the meadows which once surrounded Laleham Abbey.
At many spots along the river you will find ideal moorings where you can tie up and enjoy a picnic. Or perhaps you may prefer to visit one of the riverside restaurants and pubs which pride themselves on their standards of gastronomic excellence. The choice is yours.
